Are there any things special I should do for storing my car for about 3 months, or is that time period too short to worry about ? It might even be only 2 months. Thanks

I added a garage to my house this fall and I had to store the car from early October to mid-February to keep it out of the way of construction. I was able to drive it a couple of times, but it basically sat from November to about two weeks ago. I thought I would be able to use it more frequently, but the construction activity was more disruptive than I planned.

After the car was in storage for about two weeks, the 5-year old battery died. There was no electric outlet in the storage unit, so I couldn't use a battery tender. If I had to do it over again, I would have removed the battery and put it on a tender at home.

Some of our friends from the frozen north appear to go through more elaborate preparations, but they store their cars each year for extended periods.

You might be okay just letting it sit for 2-3 months. I would probably set up a battery maintainer, over inflate the tires, wash it, and put a cover on it. I don't think you will need anything too complicated for 2-3 months, if you can I would drive it ever 2-3 weeks for a few hours.

Tires up to 50 psi (but not any more). Pop the front trunk in case the battery is dead when you come back. The trunk light wll go out on its own. Add gas stabilizer to a full tank of gas.
Thats all I did for this winter.

This info is in your Owner's Manual and the "search" button. There are a ton of threads with great advice about storage.

This is incorrect. Your Owner's Manual states 58 PSI.

Your are correct about the 58 psi in the owners manual. I just don't like taking them up that far.... my personal feeling... never read anything.

just 1 more note, consider changing your oil prior to storage.
