Alarm goes off for no reason

I have a 2001 Boxster and the alarm will go off for no reason. After the alarm is set and the car has set for 3 or more hours and then alarm goes off. I do not know what could be causing the problem....Any suggestions.

Thanks,
Dennis

If you have any other electrical gremlins it could be the ignition switch.
I've seen this a few times. Everything electrical goes through the switch which is spring loaded and in a switch that's started to crack it can "jump" by itself sometime after the key is removed.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro
