cel codes p1238, p0123

Quick question for the board,

1998 Boxster with 46,xxx miles started idleing rough after sitting for 2 weeks, and through a cel. Scanned the codes, came up with p1238 open circuit fuel injector cylender 2, and p0123 TPS.

Has anyone seen this combo? If so how did you fix the prob?

I realise that the TPS may simply need to be cleaned, or replaced, I'm not certain how to address the p1238 code however.

Any help is appreciated.

Well I haven't been back to up-date this thread, but I'll share what I found.

I figured it was odd to get 2 weird codes, and have the car run rough after it ran fine just up until that event. Well we opened the engine compartment to find mice had gotten into some wiring, and opened several circuits!

In short we had the TPS wires chewed through, as well as cylinder #2's injector.

Well we ordered a 'sacrificial' wiring harness from Oklahoma Foreign from a similar car and will be making splices this coming weekend!

Oh yea, we bought several mouse traps as well, but I don't think the little bastards have stuck around!

We've just been too busy to tear into the Boxster until now!
