Have you painted your center console - Yourself / DIY???

I rec'd a paintscratch.com "kit" to paint my bumperettes for Christmas. I also got a short shifter console from the 997/987...

I am doing the bumperettes first. they are sanded and primed in my garage... I paint them tomorrow. being the impatient person that I am - the having to do things slow and wait for stuff to dry, etc of painting is a drag. I wish you could just spray them and be done...but i am doing it right/slow. i shoudl have them painted/ cleared/ and back on in a few days....

now that I have started poking around the center console to remove it to put in my SSK, I have started toying with the idea of painting the console.

it looks no harder than the bumperetes....although the bumperettes are low, on hte outside while the center console is an interior trim piece...

part of me thinks it might be easier to see all teh screw ups on the center console...while you would not see them as much on bumperettes.

any of you self paint the center console and was it as easy as bumperettes?

thanks.
