Wheels/Tires - Are these for a 986?

My friend just gave me these wheels/snows for my 997S but I don't think they'll fit. I think that they are from a 986 Boxster but do not know for sure. Can someone please confirm? I'd appreciate any help.

The fronts are 7x17ET55 with 205/50R17 Dunlop SP WinterSport M3s and the rears are 8.5X17ET50 with 255/40R17 WinterSport M3s.

Thanks in advance.

They look like it.

I have a 2000 Porsche Boxster

Fronts are 205/50 R17
Rear are 255/40 R17

The rims look identicle.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the quick response. I have no use for them. If anyone is interested in them please let me know. The wheels are in very good condition and the tires are essentially new.

The lug pattern should be the same. At most you'd have to add spacers and longer lugs.

Where are they located.

They are in Connecticut.

PM me if you can please. I might be interested if shipping isn't absurd.

As has been answered, those are 986 wheels and the offsets are completely wrong for your 997. Some 986 owner will luck out.

Actually, upon closer inspection of the wheels, I found what I think are part numbers.

The fronts are part number 996.362.124.00 and the rears are 996.362.126.05. I suspect that the 996 in the part number indicates that these are for a 996 and not a 986. Will they also fit a 986?

Thanks for posting the numbers...those are 1999 996 stock 17" wheels; 7" fronts/8.5 rears (also used on Boxsters from the period as an upgrade).
