Grrr! Steering wheel won't come off!

Anyone tried to swap out a steering wheel and find that the existing wheel just won't come off?

I'm replacing my 4 spoke with a 3 spoke. Removed the airbag and the main bolt tonight and tried to pull off the wheel and it would not budge. I think its frozen onto the shaft due to seven years of use. Any ideas for me?

Toolpants, you've done some of these wheel swaps.. what do you do when it's stuck?

Well, I got it loosened by smacking on the back of it repeatedly! The assembly of the three spoke and the airbag was a whole five minutes additional work.

If you've thought of upgrading your wheel, it's really no big deal.

Now those peering in will wonder how on earth I ordered a Boxster with a five speed AND an automatic tiptronic transmission.

When I save some more money, I'll buy that part that ToolPants suggested and turn the tip switches into OBC changers.

Or, take ToolPants other suggestion and wire them for front and rear rocket launchers. That'll teach those idiots on Interstate 10 to ride my a$$! Boom!

I let Aileen do that stuff. :p
