Coolant Tank!

Does any one know if the leak Coolant Tank can be fix? Instead by a new one.

Thanks.

As far as I know it has to be replaced. I have never heard of anyone 'fixing' it.

Removing the rascal is the lionshare of the cost of "fixing" the leaks. It takes a couple of hours for a skilled tech to do it... more for a novice like myself.

If you buy it from Sunset Imports in Oregon, it will cost a fraction of what your local stealership will charge you for it.

Of course, you or an independent mechanic who accepts customer parts must do the work as the dealership will only use parts priced in the "I just got raped without a kiss" category.

My local stealership—a Sonic Group owned store, by the way—charges 200% or MORE for every Porsche part they sell across the parts counter. It's friggin' highway robbery.

Just get a new one. Cheap Porsche pressurized plastic tank. Every heat cycle causes the plastic to lose its flexibility over time. If you repair it, it will crack and leak again soon. Repair can be done from the top in less than 1hr if you are handy.

Coolant Tank

I appreciate for all of your input. I'll just get me a new Coolant Tank.

Again Thanks.
