Stupid question? Probably...
 
If you use your box only once or twice a month, should you start it every so often to make the oil go up or for whatever reason? Or is it just a waste of gas? TIA! :D

Waste of gas, just make sure you wait 1-2 minutes before driving it and wait until the engine gets warm before you rev it over 4k.

I vote for driving it, not just starting it. I would not just let it idle for a long period.

There are a lot of seals (like brakes) and components that like lubrication and coming up to operating temp.

I make an excuse to drive to a more distant grocery or booze store than I'd normally use and make sure I've been at 180+ degrees for a good while.

I also recommend a trickle charger to make your battery happy.
