Starter Problem

I just got my boxster back from my mechanic. first the Water pump broke and cut the oil line. Now it is having trouble turning over

When the car sits so it is cool it starts no problem. Once I drive it for a while and do some errands. The car takes about 10-20 seconds to turn over.

Is this the starter. My mechanics says he thinks it might be the head gasket but he is not a Porsche specialist. I would assume it is a starter gone bad since it has trouble starting.

Once it is on and I am driving it acts perfectly normal

thanks

Have your mechanic to an amp draw test on the starter while the car is warmed up. If he doesn't know how, or what that is, get a new mechanic. If the starter is on the way out it will have an excessive draw. Have you check the batt? Could also be an ign. swithch. Lots of potentials here. Check the simple stuff first.
