storage bin in dash?

I have a 2002 "S" and in the dash, from the top down I have the cup holder (which I don't use) the CDR220 head unit, then below, the CD storage slots and then the Climate Control module. My brother in law has a 99 with a tape player (not cd) and he has a nice open storage bin there, where I have the CD holders. Where can I get one ? It is the perfect place for my wallet and cell phone, and I don't use the CD holder. Can that be changed out and if so I would truly appreciate your input.

Garage
Those extra storage bins are available. Look on Ebay or at your local dealer. They are a special bin, the bottom one will not fit, you have to get a mid console bin.

I also have an '02 S that had your exact set-up. I bought the storage bin from SunCoast for ~ $30 and the install was easy (run a search for it here), took about 5 minutes.

Sweeeet. Thanks! I love my car but even being a minimalist I have a small wallet and blackberry around me all the time. That little bin is handy.

The "HERE YOU GO" in my reply is the link to purchasing it from EagleDay.

I've been thinking about the storage bin myself... When I installed the Avic D3 I had to remove cup holders and now I'm thinking of removing the CD holder and either putting in the storage bin or reinstalling the cup holders in that spot.

What do you guys think?

To me the CD holders are not useful. I have sirius in my truck and listen to little airwave type radio anymore. When I take the S out, it is not for the music - not the kind from the radio anyway, so having extra CD's are not interesting to me personally, I would rather have the storage. However, you have a significant system in your car, so maybe the extra CD's have value - hmmmm.

Agreed. I still have the same CD in the player that I put in the car when I picked it up 6 months ago. Besides, if you want to store CD's you could easily get a dozen or more in a "CD wallet" which could easily be kept in the storage bin. I personally find the storage bin MUCH more useful, good for wallet, cell phone, etc.
