after market petal set
Does anyone have any recommendations or comments on aftermarket petal sets to replace the clutch, brake and gas pads. In particular the gas petal since it can be had with an extension on the left side down low or near the top or both. I'm looking to replace mine since the stock petal alignment isn't the greatest for blipping the gas on a downshift.

Bet you are under 35
There are only two petal sets that I know of: rose and lotus. However there are plenty of aftermarket peDal sets.

I find the pedal positions on my '02 Box S perfectly suited for heel-toe downshifts. I could never understand those pedal extensions...they really get in the way of my feet, at least. Buy a decent driving shoe, such as a Piloti; they have a nice bolster on the right side to assist with throttle blipping. Technically speaking, I don't heel-toe; I roll my ankle to blip the throttle with the right side of my foot whilst braking.

There are quite a few pedal sets out there. I've got the cheap eBay ones that look nice. However, most of them are focused more towards aesthetics than anything. I concur with looking at the Rennline pedals. They may be a little pricey, but they're the only performance focused pedals for the Boxster that I've seen out there with the optional extension on the gas pedal. Kirk |
The ebay set were top notch. I posted them on here a looooong time ago for about $100 delivered. The 911 guys on Rennlist jumped all over those.
I'm sure they're still on Ebay as they were mass produced in China. actually now that I have a proper drill I should actually install a set. |
