Thinking of switching the CD player

One of the first things I found out about my Boxster after I bought it is that the CD drive isn't in the best condition. It skips parts of the song when I go over a bump at speed, and starts playing scratchy noises on new CD's.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but I'm thinking of getting a new CD drive for it and not sure where I should be looking for a good deal. I can't spent much, as my budget is pretty small. Any suggestions?

If it were me, I wouldn't bother replacing the player. Instead I'd add an aux cord for an MP3 player and be done with it.

Replacement players can be had on ebay, dismantlers, or it can be repaired or replaced by Becker (OEM Mfr.) - http://www.beckerautosound.com/parts/index.html

Ooh adding an AUX chord would be really great, I could play my iPod on it.

Where can I get the jack for it?

It's part # BNA - 1319 - 116 from beckerautosound - use the link below. They'll give you instructions how to do it.
