The official part designation is cover,lateral. It is the mud-flap looking thingy that is in front of the rear wheel, at the end of the rocker panel. It looks like it goes under both the rocker trim panel and the inner fender panel......
Has anyone replaced one?
A little guidance would be nice.......

I've done it on a 986, but not a 987. Hard to describe, but you do have to work it through some unexpected way.

Best suggestion is to remove the old one and simply reverse the procedure.

Is that like learn to pull the engine by putting one in and reversing the procedure??

QK,

If you are talking about the lower front flap, which I think is a wind divertor for brake cooling. It's attached integrated with the bumpercover hardware, it's only held by three fasteners.
