OBC hack (wires gauge)
 

Hi, I'll be doing the OBC hack friday. I did buy romex connector alone and will have to crimp them with wire. Anybody can confirm wire gauge to use? Is this 18,20 or maybe 22?

well, there's not much current running through the wire in the interest of flexibility (of the wire i mean) i would take the thinnest

Well, what I REALLY would do (actually did) was to go to the next VW dealer and buy the finished wire ;)

They are either 20 or 22 gauge wire. I would go with 20 just to be safe.

22 gauge as far as I have been able to determine over the years.

There is no power or 12 volts in any of the 5 wires. That is why the wires are so small, as they are used as to create a ground.
