I bet he won't fly that low again!
Will the insurance company pay to detail the interior?
Before it has terminal bear in the woods aroma? :barf:

A family we know had a large bird come through their windshield (a van, not a Porsche), and in all seriousness, when the car was being restored/detailed, they found an intact egg sitting in the center console. The bird literally exploded on impact and took all the impact, saving the egg. So, in those "egg drop" contests, where you have to build some sort of protective housing for the egg, nothing beats a bird...

The other amusing note is that the insurance company wanted to know if the bird was alive before hitting the windshield. Is there any way to know that? Are they implying it makes a difference in coverage if it was dropped off an overpass or shot out of the air, as opposed to just flying into your car?

State Farm covers moving objects (not vehicles) under comprehensive and stationary objects under collision. So if you hit a rock sitting on the road, your collision deductible applies. If it was moving, your comprehensive deductible applies. Don't know how this would be applied for the bird in this case. The obvious question in this case is the age old question: "Which came first, the chicken or the egg." :)

I love how you can see the silhouette of the driver outlined in blood on the seat. Classic! :D

Beautiful car. Gruesome interior.

I hadn't noticed that before you said it. I wonder if the bottom of his seat was soiled after hitting the bird. I know I'd poop myself if that happened!
