Airbag deactivation bar questions

I posted this in the classified but I hope someone has an answer.

I purchased the bar from a dealer with a Britax/Porsche seat and was told it would work on my 01 Boxster S, I sold the car before I got a chance to install it BUT the bar has a 993 part number so I am unsure if it will work on a Boxster.
Does anyone know for sure?
Part # 993.803.983.01

Thanks!

Some of the part numbers are shared between the models. There are a few stock Boxster parts that have 996, 993, and 999 as part of the number. If it looks righht, it probably is.

Yup, this I know but I have seen other airbag bars with 986 or 996 part numbers, thats what threw me off.
I suspect it will work.

I did a search and saw that the PN for the deactivation bar kit it a 996 number, but that is for the kit (with all the pieces) not the bar alone. I can't find that PN anywhere. Perhaps someone will know for sure.

I just saw you have a 996. Since the seats in a 996 are the same as in the Boxster, just go out and see if it would fit.

I tried it the other day It does indeed fit the 996.
The part I have is the bar, screws, latch and even an install instruction VHS tape that I have not viewed since I long ago gave up on VHS :)
