Who's had smoke issues?

I've got a 98 5spd. I ax and track it. And it is stock. Its pretty much inevitable that at some point in any autocross or track day I'll blow some smoke. Sometimes its no big deal, other times it dumps so much oil into the intake that I start misfiring across the cylinders and get blackflagged. I'm just curious who else this has happened to, and what fixes they've come up with?
My air/oil separator has been replaced a few times (I'm actually waiting for the new dual separator that porsche motorsports developed to arrive) and I run the oil level just above the min mark on the dipstick. My mechanic doesn't know why it seems to happen to me more than others.... anyone come up with a creative solution? fyi... it seems to happen when lifting off full throttle at 5000-6000 rpm in hard turns (left especially). I included an action shot from the last time it happened.
