Battery Replacement
Regarding the boxster battery, can this be replaced with something smaller and lighter?
or
does it have to be the same size and must it have the 'vent'?
im thinking of putting this 6.6kg battery inside the car -

Answers:
Yes. No - but you will need to modify the tie down. No - only needs vent if a flooded cell.
Here's a link w/ some other alternative and the specs for the OEM Moll battery:

there is one that is 6lbs but only 100CCA
would this be possible or would i have to go closer to something 600CCA and above similar to the ones you provided in the link?

I'm not sure which one in particular you are looking at but w/ only 100CCA you'll need to be jumped every time
Get one w/ at least 650 CCA IMHO
