Reasonable theory to buy a well maintained but driven frequently car? Yes. I bought an '01S with 42k miles on it 4 years ago. I'm the third owner. Almost no trouble in 12k and 4 years. I carry it on my books now that spring is here at $20.5k. It is fairly well equipped with options (PSM, CD changer, auto seats, etc) but nothing super special.
Reasonable to buy a black car? Only if you love polishing it and debating the best way to get swirl marks out. They sure do look good just after the polishing is finished though. And hot in the summer!
