Number of Worldwide Porsche Owners?
 

Does any one know how many people own Porsches in the world? Not just Boxsters, but I am wondering what the worldwide ownership is? I know this is impossible to calculate but how about a ruff estimate?

Here is one stat to consider, as reported by Porsche:

"More than 60% of all Porsche vehicles ever produced since 1948 are still on the road today"

I am not sure about today, but California had more Porsche's than any other location a few decades ago.

Do they publish stats on how many are produced?

Sure, like most public companies, this info can be found in their Annual Reports. Go to www.porsche.com and you can see their company announcements. Also, over the years, Brucelee has been diligent in reporting some of these numbers and links to production numbers.

Panorama is another source, which is usally a re-print of the above stuff.

errrrr.......could not find anything....anyone have a vague idea?
