What I've found from my recent research is that the Boxster prices don't really factor in the year as much as other cars.

To find an accurate price I'd recommend checking Autotrader and other sites for all Boxster S' in the 2000-2002 range with similar miles across the country.

If you can't specify an S model just manually go through the listings, because there are definitely alot more base Boxsters available.

As a private seller you can use the car's options and service records to your advantage when working with potential buyers.
