New to the forum Looking for first porsche

Hi guys,

I have been reading through your wonderful forum all day today, and have found tons of useful information.

I have also been looking obsessively on ebay, autotrader etc for the perfect boxster.

I was hoping I could get some suggestions, and expertise from you so my first purchase goes as smooth as silk, and I don't make any expensive mistakes.

Heres what I am looking for..


- Boxster S 2000+

- Black exterior (Would settle for silver)

- 6 speed obviously

- Low KMs

- Warranty if it all possible

- Some form of independent inspection

My budget is $30k after everything (purchase price + import fees + shipping + safety + local tax, etc.)

I want to purchase one from the united states as they appear to be much cheaper, but I live in Canada. I am hoping someone here must have experience with importing? even perhaps how to go about getting an independent inspection prior to purchasing.
