Tool Pants Registered User Join Date: May 2002 Location: San Jose Posts: 1,889	You also need 3 bolts to mount the bracket. 6 are shown in the pic because when you buy the adapter as a kit there are 3 bolts for a manual transmission and 3 shorter bolts for a tiptronic. The vacuum things are vacuum operated bypass valves. I would just leave it as it is and put it in. It will be in the bypass/loud mode all the time. That exhaust is not really loud.
