What is a fair price for the following Boxster "S"?

KBB has a trade-in price of $29,500 and retail price of $36,735.

I am torn between buying from my local dealer and a wholesaler. I really want to buy from the dealer but only for a fair price. I am not looking to steal the car nor do I want to be screwed. The wholesaler is talking $29ish for a similar car. Any thoughts?

I also want one of the rarer colors like rain forest green or orient red. If I cannot come to terms with my local guy I suppose I will can wait it out until the wholesaler finds something to my liking.
