GT Motorsports Speedster Humps

Anyone here have them? How do they fit? Did you body shop have any issues with them?

I bought a pair a while back and had them painted at my local body shop. He had to do some repair/finishing prior to painting. The method they use to attach them to the car is pretty bad (velcro straps and some coated metal reuseable wire ties)... Also they give you some felt cut in thin strips to stick to the bottom of the humps to protect your car's finish. They look good on the car but don't stay in place exactly where you put them. They sort of shift around a bit while driving.

I thought they used the hardtop spinlocks to attach?

The only use of the Boxster spinlock location is that GT Motorsports gives you a wire to thread through the location where the spinlock would be located on the car and they give you a piece of velcro to hold the humps in place... For $400 you do not get what the factory offers. Like I said, they do look nice on the car but you may want to design your own method of holding them in place or look for a used pair of genuine humps from Porsche on EBay. If I had to do it over I would opt for the used Porsche humps and get them painted if you want to spent a bit more money.
