Unfortunately, having a nice car often does invite jerks to ding your doors or worse, no matter where you park. When my brother first got the Lexus he had he parked it on an end spot at the movies. Somebody keyed down the whole side of it. They even started over with a new line because the first one I guess they didn't feel was deep enough.

And I agree that parking in two spots invites things to happen. If it's in a crowded parking lot I've been known to leave a note. I figure if you want to park your car in a safer spot you need to be willing to walk to that safer spot and not take up two spots in a full lot.
