Tinted taillights

At one time I had tinted or better said...Blacked out taillights. I have thought of doing it again this time just a light tint.

Or just tinting the clear portion and leaving the red there.

Either way I go I will tint my 3rd brake light also.

Here is a picture with the light "blacked out"

The effect I am thinking of is a lighter tint than in the picture.
Or just tinting the clear part as in the attached picture.

Opinions???

While it looks really nice, that has to block out the ability to see the brake lights to some extent? That is rather scary after reading the "Smashing Pumpkin" thread! Knowing the type of morons out there driving behind me, even with only the 3rd brake light tinted, I don't think I could ever get beyond keeping a constant eye on every car I ever see in my rear view mirror knowing they may not realize I'm braking. That is just me. Like I said, it looks great!

Gary-
Thanks to your help, I went ahead and tinted headlights like yours. I love them. I did the tail lights too, but used the lighter tint. It is more subtle, but still blends with the car and light still shines through great. Thanks for your help.

Do you have pictures of the tails with the lighter tint??

That is a great option for me also.

Why stop in the rear :D

But then again a famous soccer player can get away with it

The front is almost already done.
And the sides.

But, I agree I am not a famous soccer player so I will skip the full frontal tint.
