Need help with a seat asap

I need help with my drivers seat on his 986. It has a power tilt on the seat with a pneumatic heigh adjustor. The height adjustor is in its tallest position and we can't get it back down. I'm not sure where the issue is. All the appropriate springs are in place. We had to take the seat off because of a fuse issue and tried to fix it ourselves while the seat was out.

Thoughts, comments?

Forgive me it this in the wrong section of the forum, I just saw the most people viewing here.

I suspect the trouble is trying to adjust it out of the car.

When you lift the Height Adjustment Release Lever, you need to push down and back to lower it.

It would probably be difficult to get the needed leverage with the seat out and not fastened to the floor of the car. I'd re-install it and try again. Good Luck!
