Soooo, your uncle--- the sheriff--- give you any grief about the original infraction (pouring salt on the wound!)?

bmussatti 03-18-2008 05:14 AM

Blink, did you blow through the stop sign or just roll through it?

Glad you got it all resolved. Good work!

I rolled through the stop sign....that was literally 100 feet from my house. How embarassing. The cop said 'We don't need anymore people do those 'California Roll Throughs around here''

Blink, there can't be that many people doing the California Roll Through there. Based on the number of people that do it in CT we have most of your population here!
:D

Blink, that sucks! I bet cops are pretty hard on young males who drive sports cars. Especially P-cars. I am not cop bashing here everyone. Please don't mis-read my comment.

Did you look left-right-left? And you still missed seeing the cop? :)

Live & learn. Why does learning have to be so painful at times. It's all good!

Cop gives you a ticket near your house????
Boy that guy must have been having (figthing urge...to....make....cop...joke...the force is strong...but...I...cannnn....ressist........pheww! ) a bad day.

You have a clean driving record(ahem) and this guy goes into a residential area to give out a rolling stop ticket? Police discretion is a not just a myth. They use it every single day. Some pretty girl with cleavage gets a pass and some punk kid in a shiny sports car gets points.

Hehe... a few years ago I went for a ride-along with a CHP officer. In 3 traffic stops, he gave 1 ticket to a trucker guy, 2 warnings to girls. One of the girls was doing nearly 100mph on I-5, but he claimed that she knew his wife.

When asked if he ever had offers for sexual favors in exchange for not writing a ticket, he grinned and said "Yeah, it happens". Uh-huh.

PL, this does not surprise me. I would bet donuts-to-dollars someone in Blinks neighborhood has been calling the local PD about cars rolling through the stop sign.

I can also visualize young children playing in the area. Hence the police's proper response.
