Key unlocks trunk but not doors

The battery in my remote key seemed to be weakening, as it was taking more than one push of the button and I would have to stand closer and closer to my car for it to lock or unlock the doors. Took it to my local dealer who changed the battery in the key remote. After a few days the remote stopped locking or unlocking the doors altogether. It still unlocks the trunk. The door lock actuators lock from the drivers side manual lock.

Is this a problem of the car not recognizing the remote anymore or is the actuator in the car a problem?

I am remotely frustrated.

Sounds like bad electronics in the key. One of my keys is like that, and the other works fine.
