Anyone know this wheel??

I am looking for a make and model of this wheel. The owner of the car I am looking at says they are porsche and he paid 3 thousand each for them.

I wanted to see if anyone has any information on them before I buy the car.

very nice, look likes it on a carrera? so are you buying the car or just the rims?.

ohhh, i remember another forum member with those exact wheels ,let me try to find out who.

I have those wheels too. They are SSR GT3 wheels in Satin Gun Metal Finish. 18 inchers. They cost $2400 for the 4 wheels only (no tires), new. They also make them in 19, but they cost virtually the same as the 18s. They are not Porsche OEM wheels. They're made by SSR wheels (Speed Star Racing), and he's pulling your leg if he says he paid $3K for each wheel.

Great eye, blk. I'm looking at a 911. I just had my first baby a week ago, and am on a long term switch to a 996.

Since the boxster was a "spare" vehicle, I was going to keep it for when momma and I can go out, but this little girl has my heart and she needs to be able to ride with me to late night sneaks to the ice cream store!

Boxsta, THANKS BUD! That is exactly what I needed to know. The wheels are great looking, but I had a feeling they were not OEM. Are they one piece, or two?

No prob. They are actually 3-piece semi-solid forged wheels: http://www.ssrwheels.com/wheels/gt3_sat.html

The rivits are real, and I can take it apart for a black powdercoating?

Yes, the rivets are real, so you can do so if you want.

My powdercoater won't do wheels. Says the heat of the oven makes them brittle. I don't know if it's true or not, but he won't take the work. Says better to get them painted.

there was a discussion on tht not long ago, pretty much nothing will happen.

btw, there was a guy not long ago here in chicago selling those wheels off a carrera for 500 with tires, not sure if he still has them or now.
wheels were perfect shape, tires were a little bit on worn side
