Dallas service center recommendations

Hello all. Not sure if I’m posting in the right forum or not…I just moved from Tennessee to the Dallas area and was wondering if any of you Dallas members had recommendations for who to use for service work. (other than using the dealer) I had a great certified guy in Chattanooga, he was great for oil changes, brakes, coolant leaks etc. and I’m hoping to find the same around DFW. I’m in the Carrollton area. If you have any suggestions I’d appreciate it. Thanks!!

Welcome to Dallas. I often take mine to RUF Auto Centre near George Bush and the Tollway.

For a list of local shops look at post #6 of this thread http://986forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9615

Timothy listed a good one there. RUF. It's practically in Carrollton. Plus when you take your car up there, you get to see other awesome cars. It's surprisingly affordable.

There's another good place I like but it's across town for you. Zim's Autotechnik. The specialize in Porsche, BMW, & Mercedes.

Welcome to the Forum and Dallas!

I would recommend without hesitation any of the following 3:

Dallas Eurocars - speak to Jim Linehan
Ruf Auto Centre - speak to Hans Hoffman
Park Place Porsche - speak to Kevin Holmes

Welcome to Dallas!!

If you do need a dealer both Boardwalk and Park Place are stellar. You have to check out RUF though, even if just to see the RGT and tour their service area and storage. Go in the morning to try Hans' "German" coffee. It will definitely start your day off right.

Boardwalk currently has an Audi R8, McLaren SLR, and GT3 RS in the showroom. All very pretty cars.

On a side note, the Boardwalk parts guy said they can usually match Sunset prices. Last week he even gave me the plastic grommet I needed FOR FREE.

Service Center

I have used Nine Eleven Enterprises. I am a 1 year Boxter owner, and they were recommended to my by two long time owners. I have only used them once, but felt they were good, and MUCH cheaper than the dealer.
