You better be in love with your thin scrub brush because those honeycomb wheels are gonna need a lot of attention once a week to keep them clean.
For really nice, low cost Italian wheels, check out www.wheeldynamics.com
I got carrera lights from them and love them.

Those wheels look pretty snazzy. I sign off on them. And yeah, cleaning will be a whippin'.
To save others a click, here's a preview:
I have the same ones Randall has... they're Carrera replicas -but to me look better than the real thing because they're flush with the side of the car (whereas the factory rims are tucked in the fender a bit).

19"s.. OUCH! How much do they weigh?
I couldn't pull those off around these parts, roads are too rough. I would give it about a month before I dented one of the front wheels.
Djomlas has a great set of wheels which I don't think were too expensive.
Personally I wouldn't spend more than $1400 on any cast alloy wheel. If you're going over $2K get forged wheels. The cast alloy wheels will bend like a pepsi can, and that includes my factory 5 spoke Carreras. Luckily I bought them when the Euro wasn't as strong for $1900.
Check out ccwheel.com they're gaining a reputation for rock bottom prices on forged wheels. They have a mesh wheels similar to the wheels on Ebay that work on Boxsters and remarkably weigh 20 pounds just like Carrer light wheels.

for the looks, mesh wheels are beautiful, but once it takes u 3 times longer to wash and dry the wheels than the car, screw that.
thx PL, i really like these, they are good quality as well, and dont take too long to clean either, and look great too
good luck with whatever you decide, but that looks too much money for what u get, and possible back problems that wil cost more than that hehe

Thanks for your opinions. but i do c having them be 19s flaunting my already poor gas mileage. Those carrera replicas seem like they would be a good wheel for the long run, not many problems going that way =]

Those rims are kind of pricey! But look cool. And yes, a ******************** to keep clean. I had that style before and got rid of them because they take way to long to clean. Good luck.

Rims
I disagree on cleaning mesh rims ... simple three step process:
Spray P21-S on dry wheels
Wash with long handle wheel brush and soapy water
Rinse and dry with leaf blower
I've OEM Sport Classic IIs made by BBS for Porsche and a battery
powered blower that makes this easy.
Just my two cents worth,
Reynard

Hey Porsche986spyder,
Do you mind sharing where you obtained your wheels? I checked out your webpage and your wheels are very nice indeed.

E-bay my friend. Look for RUFF Racing Rims. They come in 18 &19 sizes. Mine are the 18s. They fit perfectly and require NO wheel spacers. I do recommend a wider tire than the standard stock 18s.
