Carpet was dry in both trunk and behind passenger seat. The car sat for a few hours and i moved it and there was a very small puddle at what looked to be in the center of where the car was and directly beneath the engine. Put a splash of water in and took care of the flashing temp light (for now) but have not gotten under the car for a closer look yet. Any thoughts on what it could be? Bad hose?

With my expansion tank leak the trunk carpet was dry but there was a pool of coolant under the carpet on the metal of the trunk floor. I'm not saying that is the problem with your car, just saying that to rule out the expansion tank you'll have to look under the carpet because the carpet can be dry.
