Side Intake Difference
While washing my 2 week old 2000 Boxster I noticed that the intake behind the drivers door is different from the one on the passenger side. The lip around the perimeter of the opening on the passenger side is smooth. On the drivers side, the lip has a different angle. Is this normal? I'm hoping this was engineered to enhance the airflow somehow to the engine from the drivers side and isn't a sign of a bad repair. Thanks in advance.

The driver's side air intake was raised in 2000 to make it easier to de-snork the car.:p
The passenger side for the engine cooling fan did not change. Just Snork. |
Tool Pants,
Thanks for the info. I will do some reading in the tech forum to learn about de-snorkeling. Thanks, ddb |
