Radar Bands

Hi All -

I will be doing some interstate travel and was just wondering if i can get info on the most common police-used radar bands. I am from Ontario (where radar dectection is illegal) but do most of my driving in New York State (where it is legal).

I can say with 100% certainty that the NY State Police use "Ka" band, and when I see my detector show that band, 90% of the time within 5 seconds I see a cop shooting radar.

Any other common bands among north eastern states for cops? In Ontario? (Anyone take the chance with radar detection / experiences w the O.P.P.?)

P.S. ordered some clear tail lghts + sidemarkers from Suncoast Porsche today. Should be a nice little first upgrade of the year.
