Question about storage/suspension

Read the info on here about how you guys prep your cars for storage. Put mine up a week after Thanksgiving. Followed all the advise, Filled tires to 59PSI. Got a call from the mother-in-law today. It's in her garage. Right rear tire is flat. Can't let it sit like that for long. Gonna head up on Sunday to remove the wheel and see what's up. Here's the question... stored many a Miata on jack stands over the winter with no issues. The manual on our cars says not to because of corrosion on the shock pistons. Anyone try storing a Boxster on blocks? Any issues? Up on blocks I can fix my bad tire and detail the wheels while I wait for the snow to melt...
