Just found this video at the Duplicolor web-site that shows how to paint the calipers with their product. Hope this helps:

i used that kit the 1st time i painted my calipers.
that little jar painted red calipers on 5 cars, and still have paint left over.
i would only suggest going to a art store or elsewhere and get nice brushes, as the one they supply is little too rough and falls apart.
heres a before aand after pic when i had old wheels/caliper color/lug nuts

and currently, yellow, sprayed not brushed on

Thanks. Any opinions on the brushes and/or the clear coat I should buy?

djomlas 12-16-2007 07:43 PM

just some nice fine brushes, the ones they give you are reallllly cheap. thats all.
and for clearcoat, i didnt use any, and it doesnt ask for one.
once you apply a few coats it shines right up and its nice and glossy

Here are some pictures as promised

I spent my Christmas weekend painting the calipers and while doing it I figure I might as well also paint the lug nuts as some of them are all rusty.

yes once, when i got my new rims i wanted to see if they would fit, but i knew i was taking the car in the next day to get fixed so i wasn't worried , but how do you know you tighten them enough, i don't want my wheels to fall off durring a hard turn or something.

Buy a torque wrence to tighten the lugs. If I remember correctly, Porsche recommends 96 foot pounds .
