Caliper Cleaning

Does brake cleaner just take the dirt and grease right off, or do I need to scrub forever and use a hose, b/c at the moment I do not have access to a hose (i know that sounds odd).

Brake cleaner removes grime/dirt & grease like paint thinner on paint. You may need a towel or something to wipe it down, but you shouldn't need water or a hose.
