Brake pads break in advice?

Just changed the front brake pads of my Boxster.
Any advice for breaking in the new pads?

I have read that you just avoid hard stopping for the first 250 miles.

I need to do the same. A few questions.....

1 - What pads did you use?
2 - Where did you get them?
3 - Did you replace the clip and bolt, or just reuse them?

OEM pads, I used the same cliclip and bolt

You just want to do multiple stops from varying speeds. Start out at a slow speed with very minimal brake pressure. Then steadily increase your speeds and braking pressure. All you need is about a dozen or so stops to get the pads bed in.

You really should replace all the hardware. You can reuse the shims and just re-glue them to the new pads.

Check out http://www.fastforwardparts.com/ for some good prices on OEM parts.

Didnt know I had to buy more stuff than the brake pads so I just re used the shims and pins, they fit good though.
The car has only 10,000 miles.

Any risk in re using the hardware?
