Tints In New Jersey

I have a quick question for you guys/gals that live in the cold climate areas.

I have a buddy of mine who just got a 2005 Audi S4 in New Jersey and was looking to have tints put on in the next 3 weeks or so.

What would be the process of having tints put on in the middle of December where its 15degrees outside? Would it be better to wait until the spring or summer time? I only ask because every installer that I have had do work on my cars had advised me to leave the car out in the hot sun. I live in SoCal and that’s usually not a problem but I’m not sure how that would work in New Jersey.

edit: Also anyone know of a good shop in the NJ area. The car is in Mahwah, NJ.

Thanks for the help.

I had a car tinted in NJ in December back in 2002 and had no issues at all. Maybe your friend would just want to wait a little longer before rolling down the windows, but right now in Jersey, that probably wouldn't be a bad idea anyway...

I've never had any issue having film installed during the winter months here in NJ, and besides, it's nowhere near 15 degrees here at the moment. ;)

I've had good experience with The Window Tint Shop on Rt. 46 in South Hackensack. Some people are not fond of Johnson film, which the shop uses exclusively, but I've never had a problem with it. The pricing is reasonable and the installation is normally very clean (and I'm picky when it comes to tint). I've been to 1/2 dozen installers and this is the one I currently prefer.
