Changing the clutch is a ********************, you have to unmount the tranny, and I believe for the clutch you have to attach the engine to a crane thru the clamshell and disconnect it from the engine mounts so you can properly seperate the housings. But $2200 for just labor is highway robbery.

My mechanic quoted me about 8 hours or so, maybe 10 at the most. At his rate that's about $800 for labor. I once considered doing it myself, but unless you have a crane and a garage full of tools, it's probably not worth it. Shop around your area for a good Porsche mechanic and you should be able to find a better deal.
