Good Deal From Carmax?

From what I can tell, this is a pretty good deal, but I wanted to see what the knowledge of the forum thinks:

CarMax has a 2002 Boxter S with 67,000 miles for just slightly over $20,000.

Normally, I would be concerned with a Boxter with this much milage, but I can purchase a 3 year warranty for $ 2,200, which looks pretty attractive considering the Boxter engine reputation.

Does anyone here have any experience in dealing with the CarMax warranty? My only real concern is if they will try to wiggle out of any warranty claim by saying I red lined the engine too many times or something.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Doug

Doug, here is an old thread about CarMax:

Whatever you do decide, make sure you get a Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI) done by a trusted, Porsche knowledgable, 3rd party.

I got my car at Carmax, and I would definitely recommend a PPI from a Porsche mechanic. Their 125 point inspection missed a few obvious things on my car, luckily I got the extended warranty which they have been pretty good about.
