Great job, dj !
Your mods never cease to amaze me... Happy Thanksgiving Nick |
I'm a little slow. What exactly did you do and why? You melted your cracked headlight lense back together to eliminate the crack?
|
Did you repair the cracked lens or replace it? If you replaced the lens, what's the PN, I'll just do this to my Amber's instead of replacing the entire headlight.
|
i had 2 lights, one working with cracked lens, and one non working w good lens.
put the 2 together and have one working with good lens. as far as i know, they are not sold separately. |
What was the pupose of the 200 degrees for 20 minutes?

Oh no, are you gonna paint these silver too? Haha.
Man, this is a really interesting thread. I have a set of Litronics from my old front end that were cracked in my valet stand situation. They're sitting in my garage taking up space. I was gonna list them on eBay cracked, or part them (ballast, control box thing, etc.). The part you just replaced is the only thing that's wrong with them. Hmm, but I guess I'd still have to come up with a donor pair of lenses. |
Good Job!
I'm glad it all worked out for you. I know you won't resist working on it during the holidays.
