took some real pics, after a wash. now you can actually see something:)

hope you all enjoy the pics.
btw, after alignment, the car feels more stiffer and cornering is improved, and i was surprised that the ride didn't get harsher at all, but BETTER. the springs are thicker than stock ones, and look like better quality as well, and they have those rubber hoses on them as well.

anyways, onto the pics

The leaves really show how low the car is. In most pics, everyone has the car on pavement and the only way you can tell it is lower is how the tire fits in the rear well. With perpective to judge by, the car looks great.

You sniped the springs from me on ebay with about 10 seconds left. I thought I was slick, bidding with 40 seconds and giving myself time to make sure I was logged in, then I refresh it after I was the sure winner and I see DJOMLAS.. I wanted to kill DJOMLAS.

Nice car and nice pix!! You're a talented photographer.

While doing some christmas shopping today at a bookstore, I noticed all the different car calendars, but no Boxster ones. You should make a boxster calendar and sell it online --- I'd buy it!

thats a great idea man, i was actually thinking about that as well.
my other car made it into a calendar once, and that got me thinking, but kinda forgot about it.

I haven't been a member of this forum for long and I have to admit I was a bit put off by the color of your car when I first saw it. Maybe it just takes a while to truly appreciate what you've done with it, but I now really look forward to seeing new pics. You're really talented.... and your car is awesome. Thanks for your posts!

DJ-

Looks good after the alignment and the leaves definitely lower it an extra 1/4 inch!

Good luck with dodging all the bullets this winter in Chitown at your new lower stance.

park it!

The car looks great lowered. I love the look of lowered Boxsters.

Where did you get the Brembro labels for the calipers?

I need to paint my calipers they are looking real rough, and I think the Brembro would change things up a little.

Gary

got them from xenonmods.com i think they are like $7 shipped for 6 of them. (family owned business, so nice to help out the little guy, and they hold up really good, i had a few sets made from them on other cars, and never a problem as long as applied as directed)

the color is definitely something that you either like or dont like, but stock, all jacked up, with silver wheels and rusted calipers, not much to like, no matter the color. plus i keep it clean and shiny all the time so its nice to look at, and it changed from gren to blue depending on light

but i do get a lot of those comments actually, people either PM or email me, saying that they saw me somewhere and that it looks 10X better in real life than in pics, so its all good.
then again, at the end of the day, its my car and i chose it, boxster market is huge and i could have picked any color....most of my cars were red, and too many tickets paid thx to that, so the change is good.
ever since i got this car o tickets, other than one bogus no license plate one, that i got thrown out

cant loose it in a parking lot, thats for sure

I like your car, the wheels look like they could stand to be a little wider, especially the fronts look a little sunken in the last picture.

Did those wheels bolt on? or did you have to change lug bolts/add spacers?

I'm wheel shopping for my seal gray '02 2.7, don't know what to get...

Great thread! Very nice! I particularly like the look of the car from the front (5th photo).

Any tire rub in the rear? It sure looks like a tight fit.

We open your threads now with high expectations... (so no more blurry oil gauge pictures).

Well once again a job well done DJ! I surprised the ride improved, much less didn't get worse. You have a real talent with the camera, always some of the best pics I see.
