Coolant light flashes on at times?
Hello
Has anyone had trouble with there coolant light coming on intermittently? I have a 2000 Boxster and have intermittent light, no overheating and wounder if it is just the coolant sensor Any input would be appreciated! Thanks Sherri |
If the coolant light is flashing that means it's low on coolant. Check your coolant levels in the rear trunk and fill with distilled water as needed.

What is up with all the coolant light posts lately ? Is it due to the weather change ?
( I'm not picking on you Sherri - I just wonder why we have had three "blinking lights" posts this month ) Nick |
Hey!
Thanks for the input, the coolant level is ok. I topped it off the first time and it went away. When it came back on intermittently a couple days later I figured I had a leak somewhere and checked it again. The level is ok so I'm now wondering if it's the sensor for the coolant level. Just wondering if any common problems or bulletins out on this since it doesn't appear to be related to the coolant level. Thanks! |
I have the same problem, my mechanic told me it was a sensor becuase temperature is fine and coolant level is ok too. Does anybody know what is the name of that sensor so I can look it up? oil level sensor or coolant sensor?
