real easy to be honest.. the back part is really simple just clips in like . The middle is attached by little plastic clips and the bottom you got ot remove the controls for the seat adjustments and i believe it is held by clips as well maybe 1 hr to take the whole thing removed
Honstly i'm shocked its that easy. I had to do this to my old Z3 and it was a PITA!!!!!!!! Looked easy enough to start pulling it off and it was, but when you got down into it, it was a nightmare! Good to hear our Boxster seats are a little more friendly if I ever have to do this.

Are you planning on replacing the leather on your seat??
The reason I ask...this winters mods are coming together and after 148k miles i need new seats. I have seen new (to me) seats for $700 each. But if I can get the seats recovered in Porsche leather at a better price that means I can do more mods with out my wife putting me on the couch.

Growing up the car magazines said how amazing Porsches are. Was I brainwashed? Somehow...I doubt it.
the reason why i was asking is because i wanna do some different color (now i have black) stitching on it. possibly silver, since now i have a silver rear console in the car, along with silver gauges, rings, and silver Kahn wheel.

I have a situation where the electrical system under the seat fried and I can't remove the seat because you have to move the seat to get it out....but it's fried. I called the dealer and he said he would look into removing the leather to get to the motors below as if it could be done while the seat was in the car. I have looked into and I am on the edge of trying it. It does look easy, I just don't know if it can be done while the seat is in the car.
Dj are you referring to the leather sections that run down the middle of the seats? If so that's weird, cause I was just thinking about doing this just before I saw this thread.
I'd love to have a black sections in there along with the main grey seat,it'd look neat.
