A RMS does not cause a engine failure. RMS just drips a little oil. Your thinking of a IMS failure,once that happens the engine is blown in a couple of seconds. Like I said,the engine failure happen at low mileage so at 75k your in the clear(from what I've seen).

By the way,RMS leaking tends to happen if the car sits,i.e. low mileage babies.
