Always interesting to see new customizing products. But I don't really like huge advertising. But someting more low key might be kinda nice like 986, stuttgart or 3.2.

I actually like those quite a bit. I wonder how well they'll fit the 986, and if they come in different colours.

Looks like they will have 4 colors; black, red, yellow and silver:

Any idea what the "correct" colour for a Guards Red car would be? Black is the first that comes to mind, but perhaps silver?

Any of them except Guards Red would work. It would be your own personal style and choice.

I like not having "Boxster" anywhere visible on my car, but those side logos look pretty cool. Kinda retro.

Indeed. I'm just wondering what would have been factory installed on early Guards Red cars, or perhaps it was up to the individual customer?

theres a guy on eBay that sells these as well, 24 bux. look nice, has porsche, and boxster versions.

are they nuts asking 250 for a piece of vinyl?

djomlas 11-02-2007 07:58 AM

btw, heres a 986 for sale that has those installed.

I have a black decal that I was given for a guards red car. It's look cool (kind of sporty looking) and I'd probably put it on were it not for the fact that it's a "Boxster" decal rather than a "Boxster S" decal. Can't be doin' that. ;)

If someone wants it, PM me with an offer.

A few of my favorite photos are of this one (click photo for larger view):

These look good on the Cayman too (P.S. I wish Porsche would make this car, along with an RS version of the Boxster):

I have always thought those looked really cool. They look great on old 914's, because the sticker is not half way up the door. If it was a little more discreet and said Porsche then it would great.

from that seller, he also makes the boxster ones, same price. about 200 less than what Porsche is trying to get for a sticker.

Those, are the best looking ones in my opinion, because they are not as showy. It looks really good on your car dj. That with the car lowered would look great.

DJ,

I like your new wheels and yellow calipers. But that Photoshop picture above with the old wheels, red calipers and sticker looks incredible IMO!

no need to overstate the obvious. sometimes a little restraint can go a long way.
