--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What a night and what a morning! I've had to evacuate my home and pack the important stuff minus my Porsche!!!!!

Im in north San Diego county... and currently at work. It was at first, a pre-cautionary thing.. but they did eventually evacuate Poway. SOB... I haven't slept and just waiting.

Most importantly, my family is safe and are with me currently. Just needed to vent. Hope the house survives ( and my car ) . Good luck to anyone in socal affected .

Moostang 10-22-2007 11:03 AM

Patrick, this is terrible news!

How is the family doing? My best to all of you! Let me know if there is any way I can help.

Our prayers are with you and your family.

Why did you leave the car at home?

Brucelee 10-22-2007 11:35 AM

I am at home in Carlsbad, watching the fires all around us.

Hope all remain safe and don't forget to bing the cat (or dog!).

:)

James... we are okay. Thank you for the prayers and help. We will be okay but this is a very draining situation as you can imagine. My dad and bro are out of town...

I left the car cause i had to drive the suv full of '' valuables''. The box is covered under insurance. I have a feeling that our neighborhood will be okay... a feeling at least.

ay yay yay

I hope all ends well for you and your family. It's pretty incredible to watch on CNN. I can't imagine what it's like to be there. I'll say a prayer. Be safe.

Chills 10-22-2007 03:34 PM

Stay safe out there, man. Its nasty and not going to get any better for the next few days.

The Santa Anas are blowing strong. :(

unklekraker 10-22-2007 03:52 PM

Patrick...like what Grizzly what saying...it's so hard to watch the CNN news. Be strong and for your families too.
We will include you in our prayers tonight and same with all the families that's affected by this wild fire.

tombea 10-22-2007 04:32 PM

So glad you are okay. I have been watching TV off and on all day and that situation is awful!

Poorshoesless 10-22-2007 05:00 PM

djomlas 10-22-2007 05:08 PM

be safe, take care of the family, hopefully the car will be there when its all done, along with the house

Moostang 10-22-2007 05:30 PM

thank you guys for all the support. In a stressful time, the forum is a way to get away from everything that is happening. So far we're okay. Staying at my brothers apt. as of now. Waiting game is the worst, and feeling helpless is just as bad.

7th gear 10-22-2007 05:47 PM

rick3000 10-22-2007 07:02 PM

blinkwatt 10-22-2007 07:11 PM

It sure does put the problems we usually discuss in perspective - even the dreaded IMS failure. Good luck, Patrick. I'm glad you and your family are safe.
